It's Award season in the Theatre World and Catherine has already won the Drama Desk Award and Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in A Little Night Music (Montego Glover also won each of these Awards in a tie with Catherine). Of course the big Theatre acting prize is the Tony Award. Catherine has been nominated for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for A Little Night Music. The cast recording for A Little Night Music is now available for pre-order at Nonesuch Records and PS Classics. The recording is scheduled for release on 6 April.
Glen Roven, Peter Fitzgerald and Richard Cohen have formed a new CD label, GPR Records, which will record and distribute Broadway, classical, spoken word and children’s music. The label's first offering is Poetic License, which will be released 2 April and features 100 poems read by 100 performers of the stage and screen. Catherine is among the 100 performers. The recording will be available on Amazon.com and on iTunes.
